The Kallisko was a transport starship, a Zibalian-class[citation needed] freighter in service in the 24th century. Its homeport was Boreal III. (TNG episode: "Silicon Avatar")
Service history and disposition[]
In the year 2368, the Kallisko was enroute to the Brechtian Cluster. When it was intercepted by the Crystalline Entity, a deadly cosmozoan, the ship's captain issued a distress call. The Kallisko was unable to defend itself. While the ship remained undamaged, the Crystalline Entity consumed all living material aboard, killing the crew.
The distress call was received by the Federation starship USS Enterprise-D. When it arrived at the scene, an away team boarded the Kallisko. The Enterprise arranged for a crew to be dispatched from the nearest starbase to deliver the Kallisko to the base. (TNG episode: "Silicon Avatar")
