History and specifics[]
By the 25th century the Kaminar joined the United Federation of Planets. Following The Burn the planet was too far out of range for the Federation to maintain regular contact but Starfleet in the 32nd century believed Kaminar to still be unharmed and running status quo. (DSC episode: "Die Trying")
After regular contact with the Federation was reestablished, Kaminar was a thriving and prosperous member world. It was ruled by a council comprised of both Kelpiens and Ba'ul. (DSC episode: "Kobayashi Maru")
