Kapeshet was a star with an associated system, located in sector Epsilon Z-3 of the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants, presumably named for a person in ancient Thebes.

History and specifics[]

The star was notable for its unusually large corona, which made sensor readings in the Kapeshet system difficult and presented a radiation hazard. On stardate 1305.4, Commander Spock of the Federation starship USS Enterprise discovered a previously undetected planet, named M-155, in orbit of Kapeshet. (TOS novel: Strangers from the Sky)
