Kappa-1 Apodis is a rogue binary system made up of two B type blue stars visible from Earth in the Apus constellation, located within the Trianguli sector in the galaxy's Beta Quadrant.
History and specifics[]
Found at coordinates 17781.8678.12655 in the 23rd century, the system's orbit was the location of eight planets, including sixth planet Andorgha, and at least 18 moons.
By the 2270s decade, the Starfleet starships USS Hastings and USS Vincennes both disappeared within the system.
In the year 2285, Kappa-1 Apodis was incorporated into a new version of the Kobayashi Maru scenario taken by cadets aboard the training ship USS Sans Souci. (TOS video game: The Kobayashi Alternative)
