Kappa Beta was a planet, the fourth planet of the Kappa system, located in the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrant.
History and specifics[]
Kappa Beta was scanned as part of the starship USS Enterprise's initial exploration of the Kappa system. The planet's orbit was tilted upward from the system's plane of the ecliptic. A star chart denoted Kappa Beta as one of three larger planets in the system, possibly a gas giant. (TOS comic: "Creeping Death")
- It was unclear why the second planet was designated Kappa Delta and the fourth Kappa Beta, when the Greek language uses beta second and delta fourth.
