The Karabos system was a star system located in Aulacri space abutting the Federation in the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants.
History and specifics[]
The Karabos system's orbit was the location of at least three planets, including second planet Karabos II and third planet Karabos III.
In the 2240s decade, Aulacri hoped to reclaim Karabos II through terraforming. They calculated the orbital mechanics needed to redirect comets from the system's cometary belt with thruster units. By the early 2260s, the thrusters were activated.
In 2264, Aulacri Director Skovir approved the Federation starship USS Enterprise deflecting the comets shortly before impact after an Andorian archeology team led by Rhenas Sherev uncovered a vault containing forgotten Aulacri heritage. (TOS novel: The Captain's Oath)
