The Karnoth resettlement camp was a refugee camp for Bajorans, near Karnoth on Bajor, during the Cardassian Occupation.
History[]
Asarem Wadeen lived in the Karnoth resettlement camp in the early 2360s. Asarem's infant daughter died there three weeks after her birth, due to lacking medical facilities. (DS9 novel: Original Sin)
Records indicated that Chon Sibias was placed in the Karnoth resettlement camp after being orphaned. He was later smuggled out of the camp and off Bajor itself. (DS9 - Mission Gamma novel: This Gray Spirit)
The camp was later abandoned. In 2376, after it was learned that the parasites had infiltrated Bajor, Starfleet established a base of operations to combat them near the ruins of the Karnoth resettlement camp. (DS9 novel: Unity)
- The camp was first mentioned on a map of Bajor illustrated and annotated by Robert Hewitt Wolfe [1] which was adapted and included in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Companion.
