Karrig was a Federation ambassador in the 24th century.
Sometime between 2369 and 2371, Karrig worked with Edward Jellico during negotiations with the Cardassians.
In 2371, Envoy Bannik traveled to Deep Space 9, where he was to help Karrig make first contact with the Scythians. Bannik discovered Karrig had been murdered and Odo soon began a criminal investigation. Bannik considered Karrig to be the best ambassador in the Federation for dealing with first contact missions.
