Katherine Stano was a human female Starfleet officer in the 23rd century.
Biography[]
In 2265, Lieutenant Stano served as the Gamma-shift Watch Officer of the USS Endeavour, where she was described as very capable and respected by her peers, but not the most efficient person in Starfleet. After the death of Captain Zhao Sheng, newly-promoted Captain Atish Khatami ultimately selected Stano to take over as First Officer which came with a promotion to Lieutenant Commander. In February 2268, she lead the away team that rescued Starfleet Intelligence operative Cervantes Quinn from the only Class M planet in the pocket universe created by the Shedai Apostate. (VAN novella: The Stars Look Down)
While serving aboard ship, Lt. Cmdr. Stano preferred to wear the skirt version of the 2260s Starfleet uniform, but wore the pants while on away missions. She also wore her hair in the popular beehive style. (Seekers novels: Second Nature, Point of Divergence)
