"This organization's only convicted mutineer is viewed by many, justifiably or not, as the cause of our conflict with the Klingons. To see her avoiding justice does nothing for general morale."
Katrina Cornwell to Gabriel Lorca, 2256[src]

Vice Admiral Katrina Cornwell was a 23rd century human woman, a Starfleet flag officer and psychiatrist in the 2250s decade. (DSC episode: "The Butcher's Knife Cares Not for the Lamb's Cry")

BiographyEdit

In 2257 Cornwell held a leadership role within Section 31, with both Leland and Captain Christopher Pike reporting to her. (DSC episode: "Saints of Imperfection")

Admiral Cornwell died when she manually sealed a bulkhead to prevent a torpedo lodged in the hull of the USS Enterprise from destroying the ship. Her sacrifice allowed the damage from the torpedo's detonation to be contained, and minimized casualties from the torpedo detonation. (DSC episode: "Such Sweet Sorrow")
