Katrina Ndiaye was a Human female, who served as an officer in the Federation Starfleet, in the 22nd century.

History[]

By 2165, Ndiaye served in the USS Pioneer's security division with the rank of ensign under Armory officer Valeria Williams.

On February 23, 2165, the Pioneer came across an automated facility, similar to the one that Enterprise encountered more than a decade ago. The crew learned that a person has been recently abducted from the commerce vessel Velelev and mounted a rescue operation. Lieutenant Williams led a small team to the station, including Ndiaye. When the team arrived in the recreational facility, one of the replicators materialized a weapon that turned Crewman Clifton Detzel into a glowing cloud of plasma, killing him instantly, however the team was able to retrieve two people from the station and returned to the Pioneer without further casualties.

Later that year, she was a member of First officer Travis Mayweather's away team to the planet Vanot for an extended fact finding mission during the Ware crisis. She was chosen because her dark skin tone helped her blend in with the local Vanotli.

In June, the team was captured by a local businessman, Daskel Vabion, while they tried to sneak in to one of his factories where he manufactured items based on Ware technology. After Vabion made threats to kill Urween Zeheri, Mayweather submitted to his demands and took them up to the USS Zabathu waiting in orbit, then the Zabathu proceeded to rendezvous with the Pioneer at the Ware hub complex. On the way there, the Zabathu was disabled by a Ware command ship, and Ndiaye and the others were taken captive. Along with her shipmates and the Andorian crew Ndiaye was placed on Ware battleships in the fleet that attempted to retake the complex from the Federation task force, but the Starfleet ships managed to retrieve them unharmed. (ENT - Rise of the Federation novel: Uncertain Logic)

In July, Ndiaye was part of a rescue team that was sent to the Pebru homeworld to extract all Starfleet personnel from the Pebru government building that came under seige by rioters. (ENT - Rise of the Federation novel: Live by the Code)

In March, 2166, she was present at the ceremony at which Reed transferred command of Pioneer to Captain Caroline Paris. (ENT - Rise of the Federation novel: Patterns of Interference)
