A Kavarian tiger bat is a winged lifeform from Kavaria, an animal resembling an Earth bat with wild striped pigmentation like a tiger.

History and specifics[]

The tiger bat hangs upside-down while sleeping. (DS9 episode: "For the Cause")

When Cardassians first colonized Kavaria, the Kavarian tiger-bats proved to be an annoyance. The Maquis later attempted to use Kavaria as a base of operations, but the Kavarian tiger-bats forced them to abandon their base. (Decipher RPG module: Creatures)
