Kazuhiko Sano (born 1952) is an artist, a painter born in Tokyo, Japan. After studying oil painting, Sano moved to the United States to study illustration in San Francisco. Among Sano's many professional works were a number of Star Trek book cover paintings, on a novel reprint series released by Bantam Books in the 1990s. Kazuhiko Sano has also worked for Disney, Paramount and Lucasfilm, as well as a number of advertisements for major companies. He has published several artwork collections, for which he has won numerous awards.
