For other uses, see Keer.

Commander Keer was a Klingon who served the Empire's Defense Force as a starship captain, in command of Kring's battle cruiser in the late 2260s.

History[]

Keer was a QuchHa', a Klingon without the species' characteristic cranial ridges as a result of being a descendant of those Klingons infected by the augment virus in the mid-22nd century.

In 2267, during a period of cease fire with the Federation following events on Organia, Keer was a member of Commander Kring's crew and served as his first officer.

Upon the cruiser's return to Klingon space following a mission to Angrena, Kring appeared before a tribunal led by arbiter K'Ley to investigate what had happened and determine why Starfleet Captain James T. Kirk had let Kring and his crew return home. Keer produced false testimony that Kring had been returned to the ship because he was acting as a Federation spy.

His testimony swayed the tribunal and Kring was summarily executed. Keer was then placed in command of the cruiser. (TOS - Star Trek: The Manga - Uchu comic: "Art of War")
