Keldeen was a location on the planet Vulcan and was an estate that belonged to Sarek's family. It was a hereditary property that passed down from father to son across the generations.
In 2253, Sarek had summoned his son to their home in order to discuss Spock's lack of management of the Keldeen estate. Spock countered that his duty to Starfleet would have prevented him from personally attending to the affair, however, he had placed Senak of Zayus as a manager of the property after he received a recommendation from T'Lan of Lan. According to Spock, Keldeen had been managed well and was producing a higher crop average than anticipated thus making a profit and was in the process of including a new experimental crop planting.
