Kendren[1] was a binary[2] star system consisting of a pair of class G[2] dwarf stars with a magnitude of -3[2]. The system was located inside the Kotaba Expanse[2], in the Alsuran sector[3] and Vyntadi sector block[3] of the galaxy's Delta Quadrant[1]. The system contained seven planets. Two stars formed the Kendren star system. The system was situated inside the Kotaba Expanse, the neutral space between the B'omar Sovereignty and Hirogen Hierarchy space. (ST reference: Star Charts)
When the Delta Alliance expanded into the Delta Quadrant, astrography placed the Kendren system in the Alsuran sector of the Vyntadi sector block, part of the larger Delta Quadrant sector block. (STO - With Friends Like These... mission: "Kendren System Patrol")
History[]
On stardate 51762[2] in the year 2374, the wayward Federation starship USS Voyager entered the system to gather food samples from the lush class M planet Kendren IV. (VOY episode: "Vis à Vis", ST reference: Star Charts)
Information declassified by 2410 revealed that Voyager's first officer Chakotay included Kendren IV on a list of worlds suitable for colonization by the Voyager crew. (STO - Delta Quadrant mission: "With Friends Like These...")
In the year 2410, an Alliance starship found a Ferengi D'Kora-class marauder and a Benthan assault cruiser under attack from Hazari bounty hunters in the system. The Allies rushed to the aid of the besieged and came under attack from Malons and Hirogen. The attackers felt wronged by the Ferengi entrepreneur, Qwen, who was found a criminal by the Benthan Guard. When the Benthans attempted to apprehend Qwen, he abandoned his ship and escaped on a Kazon vessel while his Nausicaan reinforcements warped in and began attacking the Guard and Alliance. Following the skirmishes, the Alliance vessel helped repair the Benthan cruiser. Afterwards, the Benthans impounded the Ferengi marauder.
