"The Republic fleet has much to do and few ships. I must make sure that we only fight in the battles that we can win."
—'Admiral Kererek'

Kererek was a male Romulan active as a senior flag officer for the Romulan Republic in the early 25th century. (STO video game: Legacy of Romulus)

Biography[]

Before the Hobus supernova of 2387 Kererek served in the Romulan Imperial Fleet. He worked in the officer's pool for the admiralty assisting in logistics and ship deployment. He was offworld when Romulus was destroyed.

He suspected various power groups would begin fighting for resources during the post-Hobus chaos so he used his contacts to monitor the situation, and it ultimately became clear that the Tal Shiar were trying to co-opt the Fleet. He approached D'Tan with an offer of mutual assistance, though he had to earn the Unificationist leader's trust before becoming a senior flag officer in D'Tan's militia.

He served aboard the RRW Saeihr until its destruction in an Elachi attack, then took over coordinating the Romulan Flotilla that presaged the Romulan Republican Force. Following the establishment of the colony on New Romulus in 2409, he moved his headquarters to the newly built New Romulus Command. (STO episode: "Vengeance")

Kererek acts as quest giver for the "Vengeance" episode and the subsequent mission "Toward Freedom". He also provides the player with their reward for completing the New Romulus Reputation in "Secrets of the Ancients", as well as granting the yearly mission "Republic Day".

When the Elachi launched an invasion of New Romulus soon after the colony's founding, Kererek commanded the defense from his flagship. (STO - Vengeance mission: "Devil's Choice")

Kererek was present during the preparation to activate an Iconian gateway discovered underneath the Paehhos Ruins on New Romulus but left the site before the disastrous attempt to activate it. He later led Republic forces to combat Elachi emerging from a space gate in the Jouret system. (STO - Solanae Dyson Sphere mission: "Sphere of Influence")

In 2410, during Operation: Delta Rising, the Virinat Survivor contacted his office from the Trakia system in the Delta Quadrant via the Hirogen communications network. (STO - Enemies in All the Usual Places mission: "Long Distance Call")

After the war with the Iconians began in earnest later that year, Kererek gave a post-battle debriefing following the destruction by the Heralds of the New Romulus gateway and the Preserver site on Lae'nas III. (STO - The Iconian War mission: "Blood of Ancients")
