The Ketha Province was a region on Qo'noS, a province on the planet's primary continent and part of the Klingon Empire. (DS9 episode: "Once More Unto the Breach", ST reference: Hidden Universe Travel Guide: The Klingon Empire)

The Ketha Province lay in the south-east quarter of the planet's continent, framed by the Tlhlingtuj Mountains to the west and the NIHbIQ'a' Ocean to the east. (Decipher RPG module: Worlds)

In the time of reconstruction following the Hur'q invasion, the Port of Chu'paq at the Sea of Chu'paq marked the province's eastern boundary. (ST reference: Hidden Universe Travel Guide: The Klingon Empire)

Besides the Tlhingtuj Mountains, other regions of interest in and near Ketha included the Kintak Jungle in the south, separated from Ketha City by the River Skral and the Ketha Lowlands. (ST reference: Hidden Universe Travel Guide: The Klingon Empire)

In the early 25th century, the Lady Sirella of the House of Martok maintained the Great House's estate in the Ketha Lowlands. (STO - Warzone missions: "Bringing Down the House", "The House Always Wins") Her husband, Martok was born in the Ketha Lowlands of Ketha Province. (DS9 episode: "Once More Unto the Breach")

The Temple of the 'elth SIQ, the saber bear, located five kilometers from the Lowlands' western border, was reckoned to be 2,400 years old by 2387, pointing to its establishment around one century BCE. (ST reference: Hidden Universe Travel Guide: The Klingon Empire)

According to Federation-aimed edition of the qeS'a', Ketha was once ruled by a royal family and a warlord. The province was eventually conquered by Kahless the Unforgettable. (ST reference: The Klingon Art of War: Ancient Principles of Ruthless Honor)

Following the Hur'q Invasion in the 14th century, the Great Houses of the First City supported the trade routes traversing Ketha Province. The Port of Chu'paq was the province's main point of entry for goods and transport to and from other cities. (ST reference: Hidden Universe Travel Guide: The Klingon Empire)

By 2375, the Ketha Province was an industrial wasteland. The survivors of the crashed IKS Negh'Var, including Martok, Chancellor of the Klingon Empire, gathered there. (DS9 novel: The Left Hand of Destiny, Book One)

In the 2377 edition of a Federation travel guide to Qo'noS, Chancellor Martok stressed the economic importance of Ketha. (ST reference: Hidden Universe Travel Guide: The Klingon Empire)

By 2409, the estate of the House of Martok was maintained by Lady Sirella in the lush Ketha Lowlands. In that year, it became one of the battlegrounds in the mounting feud between House Martok and the House of Torg and their allies of the Romulan Tal Shiar.
