Background[]
Many canon starships have a chief science officer with the rank of lieutenant or lieutenant commander serving under a captain, but since some smaller vessels are shown to be commanded normally by lieutenant commanders and commanders, their science officers could be of a lower grade, meaning that this character might sometimes be portrayed at those ranks. In cases where large capital vessels and flagships are employed, it is also plausible that the chief science officer could be a full commander or, in rare cases, a higher grade serving under a commodore or admiral. For this reason, no definitive rank insignia is associated with this character for the purposes of this wiki.
No history or fate is established for this character in licensed Star Trek, in which the name was randomly assigned by the SFC game software.
Since the NPC (non-player character) lists used for the game software were re-used from the 23rd century Starfleet Command game series, there is also a 23rd century character bearing the same name. There is a possibility it is the same person, who somehow either aged gracefully or was spared from aging by stasis or time travel.
