Kevin Howard was a United States Army pilot in the early 21st century. Howard was killed in 2003 during the Iraq War; he was survived by his wife, Gabby Howard, and his son, Breandán Howard.
Kevin Howard was an enthusiastic fan of Star Trek. During his life, he imparted his love of Star Trek to his young son, to the consternation of Gabby. After his death, his son coped with his grief in part through their mutual love of the science fiction epic. (TOS short story: "Make-Believe")
