Khara bush

A khara bush was a plant lifeform, a bush native to the planet Vulcan.

History and specifics[]

Khara grew in thick stalks, with a slightly salty pulp at the core which carried moisture throughout the plant. Spock ate from a khara bush when stranded in Vulcan's Forge with David Rabin in the year 2247. (TOS novel: Vulcan's Forge)
