Khepri, also known as Regulus III, was a planet, the third in the Regulus star system. Regulus III was orbited by one moon. (ST reference: The Worlds of the Federation)

Khepri had a lifeform-supporting planetary atmosphere, which by the 23rd century, supported a sizable humanoid civilization.

The USS Enterprise was ordered to proceed to Khepri in 2277 so that they could take aboard Fleet Admiral Karis Tatenen and his staff aboard, in order to complete a top-secret mission. (TOS - Star Trek II Short Stories short story: "The Blaze of Glory")

By the 2370s, Regulus III was a Federation member planet. (ST reference: Star Charts)

In 2371, Mardah, girlfriend of Jake Sisko, was accepted to the Regulus III Science Academy. (DS9 episode: "Fascination")
