Ki Baratan is the capital city of the Romulan Star Empire. Located on Romulus, the city is sometimes referred to anachronistically by the old name Dartha. Ki Baratan is the location of the Hall of State; in 2374 and 2379, rioting broke out in the city following the assassinations of Emperor Shiarkeik and of the Romulan Senate, respectively. - In the Last Unicorn Games RPG, the capital city of Romulus is called Val'danadex Trel. Its position on the coast matches Ki Baratan's, so they are assumed to be the same city.
