Kira Reon was a male Bajoran who lived in the 24th century. He was the son of Kira Taban and Kira Meru, the younger brother of Kira Nerys and the elder brother of Kira Pohl.

Biography[]

In the 2340s decade, Reon lived with his family at the Singha refugee camp.

Reon would play springball in the camp with his brother and sister. (DS9 episode: "Shadowplay")

Reon taught his sister Nerys Old High Bajoran curses. (DS9 novel: Demons of Air and Darkness)

After his mother became a comfort woman for the Cardassian personnel on Terok Nor in 2346, Reon and his family were allowed to return home. (DS9 episode: "Wrongs Darker Than Death or Night")

In 2349, Nerys took Reon on an errand for their father, to deliver moba fruit to Sorash Mabey. They were stopped by Glinn Tedar, who let them go after hearing they were related to Skrain Dukat's consort Meru. (ST - Terok Nor novel: Night of the Wolves)

By 2367, Reon had joined the Plin Syndicate operating out of the Officer's Club near Doblana Arctic Base and had risen to the position of second in command under Plin Patra. That year, his sister Nerys arrived at the Club on an undercover mission for the Bajoran Resistance to recover one Glinn Gundar, who was on Bajor ostensibly to upgrade the Bajoran Sector Communications Network. However, that had been a ruse planned by Obsidian Order operative Kayana Gundar, who had secretly replaced Patra and had been planning to deliver the Shakaar resistance cell into the hands of Cardassian Central Command. To that end he was killed by Kayana, but not before passing on to Nerys a locket that had belonged to their mother and which contained a chip with information on how to secretly access the Cardassian comm network. (DS9 - Tales from the Captain's Table short story: "The Officers' Club")
