Memory Beta, non-canon Star Trek Wiki

The Kisaja module was a large, floating artificial habitat, one of hundreds of biomes making up the Web of Worlds in the First Federation. It was located within the atmosphere of the class J gas giant Cherela.

Specifics[]

It was a domed module approximately 1,000 km wide created as the primary residence for the Kisaja species in the Web of Worlds, although it was shared with Tessegri, Linnik and others. It was lit dimly to approximate their homeworld's cool red dwarf star. A majority of the interior was taken up by an ocean, with residences built along the shores of fjords and islands. Densely-packed architecture was predominated by transparent aluminum or glass windows, with a few areas left for privacy, though it was less needed for the telepathic Kisaja.

A control center managed the artificial gravity system which kept the module afloat in the atmosphere, powered by the planet's massive electromagnetic field.

History[]

In 2269, Nisu Miratuli gave Nyota Uhura and Spock a tour of the module. (TOS novel: The Face of the Unknown)
