In the mirror universe, the Eighth Fleet was a Klingon Empire battle fleet, a military unit consisting of Klingon Defense Force starships.
History and specifics[]
The fleet was deployed at the Klingon-Romulan border. In the year 2378, Regent Klag retasked the Eighth and Fourth Fleets with the invasion of the Gorn Hegemony following the Gorn's brazen attack on Ogat. The fleets conquered Seudath, Karazek and Ozannot, and General Goluk expected to land forces on Gornar six weeks later but the invasion was halted when the Terran Rebellion destroyed the Klingon SoHcha Fleet Yards and liberated Earth.
