A disruptor pistol from the 24th century.

The Klingon disruptor pistol was the standard-issue standard sidearm used by the Klingon Empire's warriors. Variations of the weapon were in use in at least three different centuries. At least some examples of the weapon could recharge independently, without the need for ammunition. They were capable of vaporizing a humanoid target, and had at least two settings. (TNG video game: Klingon Honor Guard)

History and specifications[]

In the late 23rd century, a Klingon sabotaged the sonic discharge focusing chip of a disruptor such that it would overload the weapon's power clip and explode during a field-stripping exercise at the Imperial Klingon Star Academy. (TOS - FASA RPG short story: "Force of Law")
