The Klingon fleet starbases are space stations in service in the Klingon Empire during the 25th century.
Klingon fleet starbases can be upgraded both technologically and in size, with the largest dwarfing the largest Klingon starships and being comparable to the largest Federation starbases. There are five types of starbase, from the most smallest and most basic, to the largest and most sophisticated has a standard design. Klingon starbases are armored, protected by deflector shields, and armed with disruptor arrays and photon torpedo launchers.
The most basic starbase is able to perform minor repairs on ships and provides its crew with very basic services (e.g. mail, bank terminals, and basic medical care). The largest and most advanced starbases has engineering and science departments and has the ability to build Transwarp conduits and perform critical repairs on ships.
