Knoxville was a human commander in Starfleet during the mid-23rd century.

Biography[]

In 2253, he led a classified project on Filos IV, researching alternatives to traditional transporter technology at the Filos IV research station. Knoxville and his research team developed a wormhole-based technique that would create a portal between two points by tunneling through subspace. A malfunction during a visit by an away team from the USS Enterprise led to the accidental teleportation of Lieutenant Spock. Due to this incident, Knoxville's project was subsequently shut down.
