Doctor Ko was a member of Starfleet who served as a medical officer on the USS Amargosa. Doctor Ko assisted Beverly Crusher on the surface of Tezwa when the Amargosa was assigned to aid in the rebuilding process on the planet. (TNG novel: A Time to Heal)
