Ko Ji-hoon was a Human male, who served as an officer in the United Earth Starfleet and later the Federation Starfleet in the 22nd century.

Biography[]

By 2156, Admiral Ko was the head of Starfleet Intelligence. In May of that year, he summoned Admiral Parvati Rao and Professor Aaron Ikerson for a meeting, after Starfleet Intelligence discovered the extent of Uraei's officially unauthorised activities. Ko found the matter alarming, but Rao and Ikerson convinced him that Uraei was essential if they wanted to win the Earth-Romulan War.

In November 2160, Ko arranged a secret meeting with Rao, to discuss a number of allied deaths that occured shortly after the end of the war with the Romulan Star Empire. They concluded that Uraei intended to eliminate enyone who was involved with the Battle of Cheron and learned the truth regarding the genetic link of the Romulan and Vulcan people.

On 12 August 2161 Ko arranged another secret meeting, this time with Professor Ikerson, to Candlestick Auditorium during the signing of the Federation Charter. The two decided that Uraei had to be stopped by regaining control over it.

In June 2162, following the death of anti-Federation Martian politician Maria Caycedo, Ko and Ikerson met again, at the Starfleet Command. Ko revealed that Caycedo was assassinated by Uraei, but so perfectly and clandestinely that it looked like an accident and that it was just a tiny fraction of what the program was capable of. They came to the conclusion that Uraei could no longer be tamed, and that they had to destroy it.

On 7 January 2164, Uraei decided that Ko and Ikerson had become too great a threat, and took action to eliminate them. Admiral Ko suffered fatal cardiac arrest during his lunch, after Uraei modified the formula of his green tea and added furanocoumarins that caused an adverse reaction with tyvedilol, which the admiral took for his heart condition.
