Koft was a 23rd century Klingon man who served the government of the Klingon Empire as an ambassador.

Biography[]

Koft was impatient, had a quick temper, and thought the Federation was devious. He first met Captain James T. Kirk prior to 2269.

Koft represented the Empire's interests at the Pomplance conference of 2269 along with his aide, First Officer K'Tail of the IKV Avenger. When dosed with a truth drug by inventor Coriolanus Quince, Koft unintentionally admitted that the Empire didn't have verifiable proof for their claim of mining rights in the WWB7 system. After learning he'd been drugged, Koft moved to postpone the conference, then convene a meeting to discuss executing Quince. (TOS audiobook: In Vino Veritas)
