For the primary universe counterpart, see Korax.

In the mirror universe, Korax was a Klingon warrior and politician who lived during the 23rd century.

After working his way through the ranks of the military, he had become a member of the Klingon High Council by 2288. He and his friends and fellow councillors Berik and Rhaza were prominent opponents of Regent Sturka, whom many believed lost his will to fight as he refused to take advantage of the weakened defences of the Terran Empire due to the reforms introduced by Emperor Spock. They challenged Sturka's principal advisor Gorkon to honorable combat on the floor of the Council Chamber after he suggested sacrificing Klingon worlds to double the military budget. However, Sturka ordered them to stand down. In order to prevent his mentor from dishonoring himself further, Gorkon did not hesitate to plunge his d'k tagh deep into Sturka's chest. As no one sought to challenge him, Gorkon was proclaimed Regent of the Klingon Empire. (TOS - Mirror Universe novel: The Sorrows of Empire)
