Ensign Korban was a Klingon Starfleet officer who served on the Hazard team aboard the USS Enterprise-E under Captain Jean-Luc Picard. His team CO was Lieutenant Alexander Munro.

The Academy[]

A highly honorable Klingon, Korban was so impressed with Starfleet's performance during the Dominion War that he decided to attend Starfleet Academy, enrolling in 2376. As with most of his kind, Korban is extremely well versed in using the Bat'leth sword. He is also an expert when it comes to heavy weapons.

After his graduation and promotion to ensign, he decided to enroll in Lieutenant Alexander Munro's Small Unit Tactics class after learning about the instructor's tenure in the Delta Quadrant aboard USS Voyager. While training with Munro on the holodeck after hours one day, Captain Picard oversaw their performance in the simulation and was so impressed by both them and the Hazard team concept that Munro was a part of, that he invited them both to transfer to the Enterprise-E. There, the Hazard Team would see a new incarnation.

Aboard the Enterprise-E[]

Korban saw his recommendation to the team as a "great honor," and served dutifully as the team's Weapons Specialist. Korban even helped develop new weapons, such as the quantum burst (which fires mini quantum torpedoes), and also helped add new features to the standard Starfleet Marines armament, the Federation assault rifle.

Korban proved to be a valuable asset to the team, and bravely assisted in repelling Idryll invaders from the Enterprise. He was also influential in uncovering the Empty Crown, and was ready to assist in the final mission against the Empty Crown before being shot and injured. He was returned to the Enterprise, where he made a full recovery. (TNG video game: Elite Force II)
