Kordon sutai-Donatil was a 23rd century Klingon man, a captain serving in the Klingon Defense Force. He was the commanding officer of the IKS K'vinta.

Biography[]

Kordon was a QuchHa', who descended from Klingons who had become infected with the augment virus in the 2150s. He was an extended family member to the linehead of his Great House.

Always an outsider, he was born on Delta Pavonnis III in "the Triangle" sector of the Federation-Klingon Neutral Zone rather than within Klingon Empire territory. He aspired to achieve the status of thought admiral and influence that sector's politics. During his military career he served aboard several D7-class battlecruisers that patrolled the region and was considered particularly cunning.

By the time he was 32 years old, Kordon had attained the rank of captain and commanded the IKS K'vinta. During a patrol mission, the K'vinta was ambushed by three Vas Hatham-class Romulan bird-of-prey cruisers near the Beta-Origi nebula. Kordon ejected the command boom from the secondary hull, but before he could rig the engineering section to self destruct in a surprise move to destroy his attackers, Romulans vaporized it with disruptors. The cruisers left the ship for dead, but 29 survived aboard the primary hull. With one impulse engine working, Kordon's ship was limping toward Klingon territory when it encountered the Barrier of Essai and a hidden star system within. Kordon beamed down to Essai to meet King Sai-ume and negotiate a trade to acquire a prototype Essaian warp cruiser.

Kordon soon came to see the situation on Essai as providing opportunities that could help him achieve his life's goals. (FASA RPG module: The Barrier of Essai)
