Koronin was a Klingon woman who lived as a renegade in the 23rd century (she was not a member of the Klingon Defense Force, and refused to use any rank or title). In 2264, she won a bird-of-prey from its captain during a game in the Arcturan system. The crew soon followed her will, and Koronin renamed the ship Quundar, and set a course for the Phalanx to wage war on the Federation.

Koronin's hatred of the Federation and Starfleet was so strong, that she named her pet primate Starfleet as a mockery. (TOS novel: Enterprise: The First Adventure)
