Kotaba sector

The Kotaba sector was a region of space, a sector located in the Vyntadi sector block of the galaxy's Delta Quadrant. By 2409, the sector was chosen home of the Kobali species, and policed by the Benthan Protectorate. (STO - Delta Quadrant missions: "Mindscape", "The Temple of My People", "Kendren System Patrol")

Naming[]

The sector block's name was derived from the Kotaba Expanse, which lay within its borders. (ST reference: Star Charts, STO video game: Delta Rising)

This was one of six sectors that became more easily accessible to the AQA powers through the Iconian gateway connecting the Tau Dewa sector block with the Jenolan Dyson Sphere, which had jumped to the neighboring Vyntadi sector block. Kotaba was the centermost of the three Tekaran sectors. (STO - Delta Quadrant mission: "Mindscape")

This sector lay circa 50.000 light-years from Sol, spanning at least a thousand lightyears in length. (ST reference: Star Charts, STO video game: Delta Rising)

History[]

The spacially lost Federation starship USS Voyager traversed what would later be regarded the Kotaba sector in 2374. (ST reference: Star Charts)

In 2410, the AQA poured into the Delta Quadrant after the Jenolan Dyson Sphere jumped there. (STO video game: Delta Rising)

The AQA forged an alliance between the powers besieged by the Vaadwaur Supremacy, the Delta Alliance. Together, the AQA and the Delta Alliance members defeated the Vaadwaur at Vaadwaur Prime. (STO - Delta Quadrant mission: "Takedown")

The AQA also helped Ambassador Neelix, leader of Talaxian colonists, resettle from the Entaba asteroid colony to the class M planet New Talax. (STO - Delta Quadrant mission: "Reunion")
