Kreetassa

Kreetassa was an class M planet located within 120 light-years of Earth. It was the home world of a humanoid race called Kreetassans.

The Enterprise (NX-01) first visited Kreetassa in 2152, a year after making first contact with the Kreetassans in interstellar space. (ENT episodes: "Vox Sola", "A Night in Sickbay") While visiting the surface, Captain Jonathan Archer's dog, Porthos, committed a diplomatic faux pas by urinating on a sacred Alvera tree. Archer was then required to perform a complex ritual apology to the Kreetassans. (ENT episode: "A Night in Sickbay")

Kreetassa was one of the worlds that accepted Federation refugees in the wake of the Borg Invasion of 2381. (TNG novel: Losing the Peace)

It has not yet been established if Kreetassa joined the Federation, or how relations with Earth evolved following these 22nd century encounters.
