Kren'than was an isolated settlement on the planet Vulcan with its inhabitants preferring to keeping themselves at a distant from the mainstream society on their world. The settlers of this commune prohibited the use of advanced technology which meant conventional means of travel were required in order to gain entry into the settlement.
By the 23rd century, the healer Sobon lived in this village which he called his home. He later decided to help T'Prynn and cure her of her unique psychological ailment which required her to travel to Kren'than in 2267. (VAN novel: Open Secrets)
