Kresz sutai-Kargon was a 23rd century Klingon man, a captain and starship squadron leader serving in the Klingon Defense Force.

Biography[]

Kargon was aggressive, ambitious, massively built and tall. He wore a mustache but no beard, leaving visible several scars on the right side of his face.

He was an expert tactician and an authority on the klin zha, starship helm operations, and interrogation techniques. He was professionally trained in marksmanship, administration and the use of bribery. Kargon had a propensity for painting his vessels bright blue.

Circa the year 2277, on reference stardate 2/1803, Kargon commanded a force of six D18B Lara'atan-class destroyers which assaulted a Federation outpost in the Orion sector. He took three destroyers to warp, leaving one destroyer severely damaged and two others with minor damage as bait. When the USS Kongo, USS Halk and USS Rome responded to the outpost's distress signal, Kargon ambushed and destroyed them. (FASA RPG modules: Klingon Ship Recognition Manual, The Klingons: Star Fleet Intelligence Manual)

Kargon became infamous in Starfleet, and the Kargon Incident prompted Rear Admiral James T. Kirk to revise war game exercises in Operation Armageddon. (FASA RPG module: Star Trek IV Sourcebook Update)

Following that incident, Kargon was granted command of the IKV Deathless Glory, an L42B Great Bird-class frigate equipped with a cloaking device, and subsequently bright-blue ships were spotted operating near and in the Triangle.

By 2287, Kargon was squadron leader of the Second Triangle Squadron and ranking officer of the Klingon occupation force at Marram IX, with Klinmar sutai-Asteera acting as its military governor. While based there, Kargon hoped to encounter Romulans in battle.

In 2287 Admiral Koloth zantai-Rahanz assumed command of Marram IX and the squadron, effectively demoting Kargon. (FASA RPG module: The Dixie Gambit)
