A kritkraw was an animal native to the planet Andoria, resembling Terran wildebeests or wild boars, with shaggy coats, curling tusks and fangs, and long legs. Their habitat is in a region of the northernmost continent of Andoria, called the Valley of Sorrows.

The kritkraws plays an important role in the funeral ceremonies of Andorian rulers. Upon the death of the King of Greater Andoria, his body was taken to the Valley of Sorrows to be consumed by kritkraws, in what was known as the Rending Ceremony.
