Kurat was a star system, located somewhere in the space of the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants, in the boundaries of the Klingon Empire.
History and specifics[]
The Kurat system's orbit was the location of a planetary system, including first planet Kurat I. In the year 2290, the Federation starship USS Enterprise-A was patrolling the Klingon Neutral Zone under the command of Acting Captain David Forester, testing a theory about Meclanti attacks that had been formulated by Science Officer Sturek. The Meclanti had started to attack Kurat I, which was the site of a Klingon Empire hospital under the command of Commander Vor, but Forester stopped the attack by mimicking the Meclanti intelligence. He and his crew were also able to stop the Klingons from destroying the Kurat sun, which could have resulted in the destruction of the entire system. (TOS video game: Starfleet Academy)
- For Forester to get the command of Enterprise-A, and fly this Meclanti mission, the player has to make the right decisions so that the grades of Forester and his crew are 75% or above and to help Sturek with the Meclanti simulations.
