Planet map.

Kurpol was the capital city of the planet Tenkara. It was located in a fertile river valley, and divided into a number of distinct districts, including ones for river transport, industrial manufacturing, commercial enterprise, and residential areas of varied economic levels. A medical clinic was located two blocks away from the stockyards. A council chamber in the city was maintained for the planet's governing council.

The planet's primary mining and ore processing facility was located 20 miles outside the city. It mined dilithium crystals as well as various ores and minerals.

"Fort Fed," a Starfleet security outpost, was located on the outskirts of the city in the mid-2260s. It was during a mission from Fort Fed to Kurpol in 2267 that Starfleet forces were attacked and Dr. Leonard McCoy kidnapped by dissident Tenkarans.
