Lieutenant Kustanovich was a Human man. He was a Starfleet officer.
In the 2350s, Kustanovich was assigned to the USS Livingston. Years later, Benjamin Sisko reflected that Kustanovich ate while he was nervous, especially Andorian redbat. (DS9 episode: "Invasive Procedures")
