Captain Kuumaarke aboard the ISS Reskava.
In the mirror universe, Kuumaarke was a 25th century Lukari woman, a subject of the Terran Empire serving in Imperial Starfleet in the 2410s decade. She held the rank of captain. (STO - Terran Gambit mission: "Firewall")
Biography[]
Kuumaarke during a raid in 2411.
Kuumaarke was a scientist and wore a modified version of the Imperial Starfleet uniform that incorporated Lukari technology. In 2411, she was the commanding officer of the Somerville-class scout ship ISS Reskava. In that year, the Reskava operated from the Top Secret Research Facility in the Izar star system. Captain Kuumaarke and a Terran strike team crossed over into the primary universe and raided Starfleet's Top Secret Research Facility at Izar to steal the Starfleet Intelligence database and capture rogue Admiral Leeta. Commander Kyle DeSoto and a Khitomer Alliance away team prevented Leeta's capture but Kuumaarke managed to escape with the data.
Aboard the USS Khonshu, DeSoto pursued Kuumaarke to the mirror universe. After the hacking of the Imperial database by Leeta's team, with the help of the Imperial Exocomp Legume Creel, Kuumaarke returned to the Reskava and summoned her fleet. The Khitomer task force led by the Khonshu engaged the Reskava in battle but the smaller ship was shielded by the massive Scott-class dreadnought ISS Brookhaven. Only after the Brookhaven was destroyed did the Reskava become vulnerable. The ship warped out but returned with reinforcements. Leeta's ship returned to the primary universe while the Khonshu remained to hold the Reskava and its fleet back.
The Reskava then left the system. On the bridge, Kuumaarke advised her crew and a senior Imperial officer - the Inquisitor - that the location of the Emperor's Prize had been found. (STO - Terran Gambit mission: "Firewall")
Marshal Kathryn Janeway led another Terran strike team into the primary universe. Besides herself commanding the ISS Voyager, she brought the Inquisitor with the ISS Defiant, Captain Sylvia "Killy" Tilly on the ISS Enterprise-F and Captain Kuumaarke with the ISS Reskava to the raid on Jupiter Station in the primary universe. The four captains boarded the Starfleet Medical facility after disabling the space station's defenses and secured the unconscious Lieutenant Ilia. Killy, the Inquisitor and Kuumaarke betrayed Janeway. The marshal revealed she was fitted with Borg technology and summoned Borg drones to provide her with an invulnerability personal shield. Kuumaarke directed Killy and the Inquisitor in the fight to get past it. Marshal Janeway fled and the remaining trio of captains seized Ilia.
Aboard the Enterprise-F, Kuumaarke used her tech to begin experimenting on Ilia. (STO - Terran Gambit mission: "Red Shift")
The trio of captains returned to Terran Spacedock. Soon after, an Alliance team led by Marshal Janeway and Admiral Leeta, the previous commander of the Enterprise, infiltrated TSD. While Killy worked on retrieving intel from Ilia's body, Kuumaarke created an invulnerability personal shield around the Inquisitor to hold off the Alliance team. Kuumaarke and Killy escaped to the Enterprise with the intel, allowing the Alliance to rescue Ilia. (STO - Terran Gambit mission: "Blue Shift")
Kuumaarke was given command of the Enterprise-F during a mission to Pahvo. The Emperor intended to lure the Other, an evolved Terran space probe, to the planet. A combined Alliance boarding party, led by Admiral Leeta and Coalition leader Rae'Yeet, fought Kuumaarke's officers aboard the Enterprise-F, reaching the bridge. Kuumaarke deployed Lukari drones and a personal invulnerability shield powered by those drones. The boarding party defeated the bridge crew and drones. Kuumaarke tried to activate the ship's self destruct but was shot by Leeta. Her body slumped in the captain's chair and Leeta reclaimed command of the Enterprise.
