Kyoto (DX-103) was a 22nd century Human-built United Earth starship, a Warp Delta-class combat vessel with a tactical operations mission profile in United Earth Starfleet service in the 2150s decade. Its commanding officer was Captain Tomizawa Jinji. (Star Trek Adventures RPG module: Utopia Planitia Starfleet Sourcebook)

Service history[]

Starfleet commissioned Kyoto in the year 2152. It was the first Warp Delta launched with improved Warp 5 Project propulsion systems. installed. This enabled the ship to reach a maximum speed of warp 4. Thanks to the engine's extended range, Kyoto could be stationed far outside its native Sol star system. Kyoto was assigned to the Terra Nova system following the reestablishment of communications with the Terra Nova colony.

In 2155, the ship outwardly resembled other vessels of its class.

Following the outbreak of the Earth-Romulan War in 2156, Kyoto returned to Sol and was outfitted as a combat vessel. Captain Jinji was in command when Kyoto served as the lead ship in DesRon 10. As part of DesRon 10, Kyoto destroyed two Romulan warbirds and aided three more.

Kyoto was one of the Warp Delta-class starships named after cities and carried a DX registry number assigned by UESPA. (Star Trek Adventures RPG module: Utopia Planitia Starfleet Sourcebook)
