Lam Qaf Kha was nine light years away from the Ayin Aleph system and in the general vicinity of the Omicron Theta system. Its orbit included at least two planets, including Lam Qaf Kha II.
In 2277, the USS Enterprise relocated descendants of the hive-minded, insectoid chitik on Omicron Theta V to the Lam Qaf Kha system. (TOS - Star Trek II Short Stories short story: "The Secret Empire")
