A land rover is a type of ground vehicle used in the 24th century, used for travel over rough terrain. Wade Portlyn's archaeological dig on the suspected Briavian homeworld utilized at least one land rover. (CoE eBook: The Art of the Comeback)

Given the lack of use of capitalization, this would appear to be a generic term, and not connected to the Land Rover company or its vehicles.
