Memory Beta, non-canon Star Trek Wiki

Landau VII was the seventh planet in the Landau star system, Trexelian Sector 001. A class J gas giant, Landau VII's small moon was the site of a Progenitor installation. In 2270, the moon was claimed by the Klingon Empire. (ST video game: Trexels mission: "Ancient Echoes")

Geography[]

Landau VII was a yellow planet with no ring. (ST video game: Trexels mission: "Ancient Echoes")

History[]

On stardate 7###.8 (circa 2270), the Federation Starfleet starship USS Trexelprise investigated the whereabouts of the lost USS Valiant in the Landau system. On the surface of Landau VII's moon, the Progenitor song was discovered to be responsible for disrupting the systems of the Trexelprise and those of a Klingon starship staking a claim in the system. Following a confrontation where the Starfleet landing party stunned the Klingon parties, a truce was reached. Starfleet disabled the Progenitor machinery and send parts and data on it to Starfleet Command for further analysis. The Klingons left peacefully. In addition, the Trexelprise recovered a survivor, who joined the crew for subsequent missions: Lieutenant Hikaru Sulu. (ST video game: Trexels mission: "Ancient Echoes")

The Trexelprise remained in orbit for further study. The ship's security officer used the scanner at their station to check the recovered Progenitor device for any threats it may contain. The scan revealed two backup defense mechaniisms, which the security officer disabled. Then, a low-level scan was run through the subspace scanner to see if anything could be learned about the technology. The technology turned out to be very advanced, and that the Progenitor song actually powered the device. (ST video game: Trexels mission: "S1: Landau VII Beacon of Hope")

Next, the Trexelprise attempted to pinpoint the location of a distress beacon in the system, assigning two science officers to perform the mission. The apparent coordinates of the signal were discovered near Landau VII. (ST video game: Trexels mission: "Pinpoint Distress Beacon")

This may the signal that led to the recovery of Lieutenant Sulu.
