Ensign Lang was a Starfleet officer assigned to the security department aboard the USS Voyager in the 2370s. In 2371, Lang, along with the rest of the Voyager crew, were flung across space into the Delta Quadrant and found themselves over 70,000 light-years from Earth.
In 2373, Lang unknowingly prevented Kes from criticizing one of Neelix's meals when she asked about her appointment in sickbay. (VOY short story: "Winds of Change")
